My cousin is an Imogen. She was mostly Immy as a small girl, Imo or Mo as a teen and is now, simply Imogen. She is a very elegant woman, if that helps.

I really dislike it, where I'm from, it is a medicine against diarrhea.

How about Elise, Charlotte or Isla?

JessieDoops · 14/11/2016 17:39

I love Charlotte, but it ryhmes with surname Sad

Love it. I only know one and she's an "Immy" which is very sweet (as is she).

Jesdiedrooops ah shame, Charlotte is lovely. I'll have a think then. I like Imogen in theory, I just can't get the medicine out of my head.

i always said any daughter of mine would be Imogen, I had only ever heard it once in an old book, then the year before she was born it seemed to be everywhere.

We went with something else and then that's everywhere now...I am a trendsetter. Hmm

Loved it-I know one with the nickname Mog!

Unfortunately it sounds terrible in my local accent which put us off.

It's my name. It wasn't popular when I was little and I have always loved having it at my name. However I live abroad and no one can pronounce it so I am known as Imo to everyone. Despite me never once shortening my name, everyone around me has taken it upon themselves to call me Imo which is not, imo (haha), the nicest of nns.

auntym · 14/11/2016 19:31

Lovely name, really pretty.

Frazzled2207 · 14/11/2016 19:42

Like it. Know a 3yo Imogen who is known as Immy. V cute.

Loafingaround · 14/11/2016 21:09

Cant stand it. Bland, boring yet twee and trying hard to actually sound pretentious. Immy is so sickly its vomit inducing too, yuck.

starkers1 · 14/11/2016 21:13

Another hater here am afraid. Incredibly straight, unfeminine and prim. Agree Immy is also a truly horrendous nn, much like the word hubby... (Shudders). Confused
