Patricia is my mum's name and Alice is my MIL's name. Jenna is a name we love.

Thanks

Sounds OK. I'm not keen on Jenna but Patricia Alice is nice.

PaperdollCartoon · 07/11/2016 21:06

I don't love the names, Jenna seems very 80s, but my middle names are both my grandmothers names like this and I'll do the same with my daughter, so I don't think how the names 'go' matters so much when you're honouring family.

I think I'd go for Jenna Alice Patricia, it flows better to me. Two names together that end in 'a' don't flow properly. I like all your choices for names!

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 07/11/2016 21:08

Yes Sabrina, it's fine. 😀

RJnomore1 · 07/11/2016 21:09

Jenna Patricia sounds lovely together to me and Alice is nice too.

In fact I REALLY like the way Jenna Patricia rolls of my tongue.

I think it's my favourite ever name from mn.

EweAreHere · 07/11/2016 21:10

Jenna is pretty.

I'm not fond of Patricia, but it works well enough if you're determined to use both grandmothers' names.

What will subsequent potential daughters have for middle names? I've always wondered about that in families that use 'family' names in this manner...

Foxtato · 07/11/2016 21:20

I really like Jenna and Alice together, very sweet. Patricia seems a stronger name whereas the others seem more girly. Saying that, I think Jenna Patricia Alice is fine. When saying it Jenna Patricia flows nicely as a PP has said, and I'm guessing 'Alice' would flow when saying the surname aswell. Anyway, I love the name! Smile

Oblomov16 · 07/11/2016 21:21

The 3 together just don't quite sound right. Or maybe it's the order? Or one name too many? I'm not sure quite what's wrong, but it just doesn't quite sit correctly.

ViewBasket · 07/11/2016 21:52

I think it's a really nice combination.

Sophronia · 07/11/2016 23:18

It's lovely. I really like Jenna.

DramaAlpaca · 07/11/2016 23:25

It goes really well.

BigGreenOlives · 07/11/2016 23:28

Don't change the order or the initials spell out JAP

SantasLittleMonkeyButler · 07/11/2016 23:28

It's lovely. I love the name Jenna and honouring family is always nice.

DD has two consecutive middle names each ending in the "a" sound for the same reason - it sounded slightly odd to me at first but really doesn't now!

I think they sound odd together, three very different naming styles. Jenna to me is in the modern and trendy (yes, yes, even if it is actually ancient Persian or whatever), Patricia is very Irish and matronly, Alice is somehow whimsical and terribly English.

So I wouldn't choose them as a combo but you have a reason I don't. Is there any other possibility? Maybe both grannies share a middle name or something?

PlymouthMaid1 · 07/11/2016 23:40

I like it. I did similar with the middle names for my girls.

ForgotStuff · 07/11/2016 23:51

Middle names don't really matter as you rarely use them in day to day life. Jenna is lovely and the midddle names are just fine, how they sound together and whether they match don't matter a jot

Pluto30 · 08/11/2016 02:36

Yes, it's lovely.

I love Jenna, and agree with a PP that the Jenna Patricia part is particularly nice. Alice is a faultless name too. Smile
