Hi! Our son is blonde... He will most probably stay blonde. What names do you imagine belong to a blonde boy!?

I see absolutely no link between hair colour and names.

Btw, blonde is the feminine version of the word. It's a French word and in English usage we have generally kept the tradition of using blond for boys/men and blonde for girls/women.

Goldie
Sunny
Philip

My baby Oliver was blond until he was 2, he is now 13 with very dark hair. What a strange thing to ask!

Names are not defined by hair colour.

UntilTheCowsComeHome · 05/11/2016 00:44

I was going to be named Rebecca until my mum saw I was blonde, Rebecca isn't a blonde girls name apparently.

My DSs are blond, they're Logan and Zachary.

Other blondies I know are:
Jack
Josh
Ricky
Alex
Kris

Don't be mean, Twaddle, it's a serious thread.

Rasputin
Vaterpezhekosma (maybe more common as a girl's name?)
Graham

I can see Rufus being used for a boy who was expected to keep the colour he was born with. Douglas means black haired I think.

insancerre · 05/11/2016 06:55

How do you know he will stay blond?
Dd was born blonde, but know at 20 she's a brunette

Wishfulmakeupping · 05/11/2016 06:58

I get this op- I'd picked out Georgia for dd assuming she'd have dark hair and hazel eyes like DH but she's blonde with blue eyes! I did wonder if it suited her but honestly it does so whatever you had in mind I'd go for it :)

I never knew about the second verse. Thanks Francis Grin

I tried to swing Alexander to be known as sandy (as is the norm in rural Scotland where I'm from) for my white blonde boy. Got vetoed by English husband who thought it was a girls name
