Do you prefer Francis or Jonas?

DD's name also ends in 'is' - think similar to Karis so Francis will be a bit rhymey but I think I'm ok with that.

I love Francis. It's a proper strong timeless classic name. Jonas is a bit faddy

I like that it is quite European and works in a lot of countries but Francis may be not too bad in that respect too.

Jonas for me. I know Francis is a boys name but I always think of it as a girls name, possibly because I went to school with a Frances (I do like it as a girls name)

I am veering towards Francis today. I prefer the nickname Fran to Jo and we are of Irish descent so Francis seems to fit better with that too.

I do love both the names though so a hard decision.

tho francis is from house of cards, i just don't like it much

Francis has another great nickname in Frank, which could turn out useful if the kid's uncomfortable with the androgyny of 'Francis'.
