Spelling of the name Peyton

How would you spell this name (for a girl)?

I'd assume it was Peyton, but DH assumed it was Payton, and there's a street near where we live that is spelt Payten.

Id say Peyton

I thought of Peyton from One Tree Hill. But I've heard of Peyton Manning too. I think it suits both sexes equally.

Peyton would be what I would assume and it's the one I like the most.

All I can think of is Payton Valentine Staphylococcus Arueus. A particularly nasty bug with an 80% mortality rate. When ever I hear this name.
