3 boy names... Which one?

Baby boy is all new, squishy, beautiful and perfect

Our 3 final names:

1. Elliot
2. Noah
3. Billy (William)

Which one? We thought we would just know, but we don't! :(

Bill. Far better than Billy.

Through There will be people who dislike Tom as well! (Me for example, I think it's boring and far too common in my generation!) Don't think I've ever seen a MN consensus on baby names, tbf.

Elliot. I love this name but DP didn't approve. I hate the name billy (I know a William who goes by billy, he's known as billy the bullshitter & quite right too!

Although Ellis, Elijah and Tom are all great names! I think we are definitely set on either Elliot, Noah or Billy. We just love them all too much triplets would have been handy

This might sound a bit weird but could you try out each name for a day? Then see how you feel about them after the three days? One might feel more natural than the others.

NameChange30 - we have tried them each out for a few hours. This may also sound really odd/cringy, but I find myself calling him gorgeous, beautiful boy and everything else sickly sweet

I think you'll need to try out each name for at least a day, and maybe force yourself to use his actual name. A few hours won't be long enough to see what sticks.

I meet a lot of new babies in my job and of the 3 names, Noah is by far the most popular, followed by William and then Elliott.

I like William, but not Billy. Noah is nice. Not keen on Elliot, agree with the PP who said it sounds a bit wet.

My husband is William. His close family call him Billy his work mates call him Bill, his uni friends and me call him Will and he calls himself William. His parents had decided he would be Billy when he was born but obviously you don't get to pick what sticks so if you would not be happy with your Billy having a multitude of variations to his name perhaps stick with Noah or Elliott. For what it's worth I like Elliott best.

Noah is my favourite. I find boys names difficult to choose, and I have 2 ds! Being a teacher means some names have not so good associations! I've met a few Noah's and they are lovely boys! Billy and elliot are cute too, but maybe not together!!! What about Noah elliot? Or Elliot Noah?
