Opinions on Roseanna?

I know the name is spelt Rosanna, but Roseanna is obviously just Rose and Anna together, so it's not a misspelling, more of 2 names together I just prefer it, I always feel like I should be saying Roz-anna with the Rosanna spelling. I don't like the Roz sound.

Dd1 is a Rosanna, pronounced Rose Anna. She always gets called Rosie though.

I love it, but I have to admit I do prefer it spelled Rosanna.

But if you prefer Roseanna, go for it.

It looks like it is spelt wrong to me - it might be my ignorance, but lots of people are ignorant. I get the feeling that she'll have it misspelled at school a lot.

My daughter is Roseanna so I obviously love it. We went for that spelling for the same reasons as you, wanting her to be Rose rather than Roz! Friends and family seem to be fine with it but we do get a lot of nurses and doctors pronouncing it Rosie-ana!! Hate to think what it will be like when she starts school but I am still glad we went with that spelling!

I knew a Rosanna at work. She went by Rosie. Such a lovely name!

I prefer it with the correct spelling, it just looks like you don't know how to spell it.

My best friend is Roseanna, with that spelling. I like it and think it suits all ages.

That said, she is Rosie to nearly everyone and introduces herself as such.

I had a friend at school called Rosanna, we used to call her Ro. I think it is such a pretty name.

Spelling a common name in an uncommon way is never a good idea. I've spent my whole life having to say, Hollie, with an 'ie'. It is so annoying. Anyone who doesn't know me well and has never seen my name written down will always write it as Holly.

Go with the traditional spelling! If you want to be different, choose a name that stands out as being different for the right reasons.

It's okay but it does remind me of that awful Toto song.
