Running out of time.. Have gone off all the boys names in the world it would seem! (I didn't have this problem with my others)
My favourite brother is called Kye, am now contemplating calling the baby tht, even though I dnt love the name in itself.
I wanted something solid, perhaps traditional /biblical. Just something tht won't get him teased in his teenage years and that would suit a man.

bangs head against wall !

Any opinions on Kye or name suggestions would be Greatly appreciated 😊

I guess I'm looking for a 'posher' version of Thomas!?

I believe children own their name. Either they fit from the start or soon grow into it.
Twenty years from now, you won't be thinking 'but he doesn't look like a Robert/Jonty..'

You also can't foresee what a person will be teased about (if teased at all).
Don't like Kye.

Gabriel/Gabe
James
David
Adam
Seth
Matthew
Alexander/Xander
Nathan/Nathaniel (I know a very handsome one, known as Nate)
Silas
Lucas
Mark
Ethan
Eli
Isaac
Liam
Noah

If you like Jonty and Hugo what about, Cole, Caleb, Jude or Logan
(Not to my taste but they are just ideas)
I think Jonty is okay and far better than Kye.

I have to agree with you on calling out Margot & Hugo Grin
Hope you find a name you love.

Grin

So a biblical name with a New Testament twist?

Titus?
Zachary
Jethro

I like Jed (but not Jedidiah)
Tobias...Lucius
Linus? (Love Linus)

ample · 13/10/2016 07:33

Forgot to put Samson in there.

Personally I would with Linus Wink

AntiHop · 13/10/2016 08:01

Tobias is like a posh version of Thomas.

I don't think you can do margot and Hugo.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 13/10/2016 10:10

MotherDuckSaid · 13/10/2016 15:14

There are no other shortenings.
But, for example, Tobias Kye, you could use the nick name T.K.

Kittenrush · 13/10/2016 18:36

Don't worry too much about if it suits a man, names go in and out of fashion. People used to think Gertrude and Dotty and Margaret suited babies but now they are seen as old fashioned names (even though dotty would still be super cute) but you see what I mean??

Kittenrush · 13/10/2016 18:37

Also I like Noah :)

Youranus · 13/10/2016 18:48

Hector,
Rudy,
Lucien,
Hamish.

Pigeonpost · 13/10/2016 18:50

I love Edgar and Wilfred (nn Wilf).

allthatnonsense · 13/10/2016 18:53

John
James
Edward
Henry

Kings names

3luckystars · 13/10/2016 18:59

Moses!

I think Joseph is gorgeous. I know a few and none are called Joe unless they want to be!

LynetteScavo · 13/10/2016 19:06

Eli

courtwood · 13/10/2016 19:35

Andrew is solid, biblical and posh (prince Andrew), there's not lots of them

CheerfulMuddler · 17/10/2016 00:03

Could you christen him Hugh and call him Hugo as one of his nicknames? I know a boy who was christened Miles but called Milo. And Hugh is definitely solid, manly and posh!

MotherDuckSaid · 17/10/2016 06:53

Thx all for your help, he could be here any day now, I'm hoping hes sporting a tag with his name written on 😁
