We have a daughter named Grace. We really like just Rose. Thoughts?

Lovely

Ohdofuckoffplease · 08/10/2016 15:48

Yes, lovely! I met a little Rose recently and thought it was lovely and underused as a first name ATM.

BrollySmolly · 08/10/2016 15:50

Lovely. I know 5 girls from 1 - 15 named Rose.

I think it's beautiful. As is Rosa.

NapQueen · 08/10/2016 16:41

It is perfect.

mammmamia · 08/10/2016 16:42

I love it. It's kind of boring as a middle name but stunning as a first name. No idea why but it just is!

gettingtherequickly · 08/10/2016 16:44

Lovely, and goes nicely with Grace.

OnlyTheDepthVaries · 08/10/2016 16:45

Just Rose is just beautiful!
Lovely name.

Monkeyface26 · 08/10/2016 16:56

I love it - but am biased as I have a Rose. She knows lots of others who have it as a second name but not many as a first name. She is 15 and, in her school of 850 girls aged 11-18, there is only one other with 1st name Rose.

Keepingupwiththejonesys · 08/10/2016 17:09

I'm 23+1 and we haven't found out what we're having but if baby is a girl she will be rose. I think its overused as a middle name.but love it as a first name

Meeep · 08/10/2016 17:11

Timeless and lovely.

wobblywonderwoman · 08/10/2016 17:13

Lovelise · 08/10/2016 17:14

I'm pregnant with my second and I am canvassing for the name Rose (if it's a girl of course).

Sophronia · 08/10/2016 17:55

Lovely and elegant

NotYoda · 08/10/2016 18:29

DramaAlpaca · 08/10/2016 19:26

Beautiful & classic. Perfect with Grace.

WaitrosePigeon · 08/10/2016 20:07

Absolutely love it.

ZazieCats · 08/10/2016 20:08

Lovely

gillybeanz · 08/10/2016 20:09

It is my one regret with all 3 of our dc names.
Our dd should have been Rose but we chose something else.
We were given woo signs too.

OhTheRoses · 08/10/2016 20:13

I think it's lovely. My stepfather's mother was a Rose. Her sisters were Alice, Edith Grace and Evie. She was born in 1909, Edith eldest, Evie youngest! What goes round comes round.

My grannie was Alice Marina, her sister Evelyn Helena. Their mother Eleanor, sisters Isabel, Elizabeth and Florence.

OhTheRoses · 08/10/2016 20:15

nd I should have said "Nellie", "Bella", "Liz" and "Flo". Not quite so nice Shock

Helenluvsrob · 08/10/2016 20:18

Is perfect. I have one :). She did spend most of primary school refusing to respond to Rosie though. As she's said " but it's not my name " people did learn eventually !
