DH has already said no to Matteo and Luca 😫. Any ideas for an Italian boy name that works in U.K. also? We have Francesca and Alessia picked out for a girl..

Knew a lovely Italian called Stephano and another called Marcello.

airedailleurs · 02/10/2016 22:34

I like Bruno

I also love Santiago. My youngest brother is named Lorenzo (known as "Ren" before he went to secondary school but is now "Enzo" as it's 'cooler') which I think is such a lovely name.

Marcelo is also a favourite. I can't think of any that a pp hasn't mentioned I'm afraid! Love your girls choices though.

Matteo is my fave but see that's been vetoed. What about Leonardo nn Leo?

notagiraffe · 02/10/2016 22:45

I love Fabio (pronounced by the Italians I know as Fab-ee-oh not Fay-be-oh)
Salvatore is beautiful too. And Alessandro.

Footle · 02/10/2016 22:47

I know a half-Italian Massimo known
as Max in his UK life.

elQuintoConyo · 02/10/2016 22:49

Gianluigi is my favourite Italian boy's name.

I once taught a class with both Mario and Dario in it, they were the only males!

Francesco is also lovely.

chinlo · 02/10/2016 23:28

I love Fabio (pronounced by the Italians I know as Fab-ee-oh not Fay-be-oh)

There are people in the world who pronounce it Fay-be-oh?? Hmm

Amalfimamma aww that's not fair, Santino is a brilliant name! My DH loves it so it's on my list!

Footle · 03/10/2016 08:16

The trouble with Giuseppe is getting it spelt correctly.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 03/10/2016 09:12

My mistake 😊

Stilldreamingofsun · 03/10/2016 10:17

Ginormous is definitely a contender 😂😂

My family is Italian and I've chosen Italian names for my four dc. These were all on my list for my two boys I've used two for their first names and two for their middle names but I loved the others too. I don't this Lapo would work here it would be pronounced laypo which I don't love.

Luca
Matteo
Lorenzo
Vincenzo
Vito
Antonio
Santino
Nico
Rocco

Stilldreamingofsun · 03/10/2016 12:55

Good list 😍 I quite like niccolo (nico). I really like Rocco but my best friend has beaten me to it!
