Final two - help us decide!

Hi all,

We're down to our final 3 names for DS2 - due in 10 days! What are your thoughts on:

Aidan
Damian
Gabriel

Damian is very cool and underused! But I've never heard of the omen, doubt any kids nowadays would either..?

Aidan is ok but I'm not keen on the sound. Gabriel sounds very girly ane angely to me, also I find the nickname Gay or Gabe not the nicest.

So I'd definately choose Damian - great name!

i love aiden and Gabriel but can't ever hear or think of Damien without the obvious Omen reference - although that will be very fun when he is being an arse and people go oh what's his name? DAMIEN.... CUE MUSIC.

So I go for Aidan. It was on my list but crossed off as we aren't Irish and couldn't be naffed with people asking if we are...

Love Gabriel. Aiden is OK-ish. Not Damian - Omen and Only Fools and Horses links are too off-putting.
(But I love Thomas, James and Henry too. Unhelpful )

I much prefer Gabriel of the three (though I'd go with a train name too! )

I loved the Omen films, and it wouldn't put me off using Damian as a name. It's a great name! Much nicer than Gabriel.

I love Aidan! It was on my short list for a boy but XP vetoed it and we had a girl anyway so moot point

I like Damian but there is that evil association... How about Damon?

I know a couple of really naughty Aidan's !
So, Gabriel would b my fave, and I like Gabe for short

Soft we're still thinking but have section booked for the 10th so that's our cut off really. It's so hard to decide!

I have a baby Aidan. He is 5 weeks old and is beautiful! Had a lot of compliments on his name, been quite well received. The only issue I have with it is that while Aidan is a well established old Irish saints name with a lot of history etc...there are a lot of similar sounding names around (kayden, Hayden, Jayden). Its a family name for us and it really suited him when he was born so it didn't bother me. I wanted Daniel but my dh hated it so I thought at least with Aidan I kind of still had the 'dan' part of the name! Went with something classic for the second name think william or james). Gabriel seems a bit feminine and wet to me and i dislike the shortening of gabe. And Damian is fine but not as nice as Aidan.

Gabriel is beautiful.
Damian makes me think of only fools and the omen/the devil so that'd be out.
Aidan is nice. But not as nice as Gabriel.
