Indulge my secretly broody babynaming

Fiance doesn't want kids yet (he 33, me 29) while I am hitting a broody patch so I have the keep my little obsession over naming our future child secret!

I've hit on Alexander/dra/dria as a name I really like (which shareseveral letters with both of us, which is nice.

I really like the classical connection and range of nicknames available, both unisex and gendered; Ally, Alex, Alexei, Alexis, Lex, Lexie, Xander, Andy, Drea

I think it goes well with his surname too, Hunt.

However I no need to work out middlenames and make sure i don't come up with something that is too out there or dificult to sya for his rather traditional Yorkshire parents.

What do you think of the following?

Alexandria Kay Hunt
Alexandria Eve Hunt
Alexandria Claire Hunt
Alexandria Ivy Hunt

Alexandra Harriet Hunt
Alexandra Elizabeth Hunt
Alexandra Rowan Hunt
Alexandra June Hunt
Alexandra Rose Hunt

Alexander Liam Hunt
Alexander Harrison Hunt
Alexander Leo Hunt

Alexandria is "too much" to me. I have a four syllable name, and even that seems burdensome at times.

I like Alexandra June. Rowan and Rose clash too much with the "dra" sound of Alexandra and Elizabeth is waaay too long.

For boys, I like Alexander Leo. Liam goes quite well too, but I just don't like Liam. William is nicer. Smile

Alexandra Elizabeth Hunt

The best.

Alexandra Elizabeth Hunt
Alexander Leo Hunt
Both sound great. Prefer Alexandra to Alexandria like pp

JemimaMuddledUp · 13/09/2016 06:14

Alexandra Rose
Alexander Leo.

Bear in mind though that when babies are born they don't necessarily look like the name you had your heart set on. DS1 was meant to be Steffan but he didn't look like one and became a Rhys instead. Hadn't even considered the name Rhys before he was born.

I prefer alexandria - much nicer sounding to my ears.

I think you'd want a short middle name

JazzAnnNonMouse · 13/09/2016 07:52

But not 1 sylable because of the surname. I think 2

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 13/09/2016 10:01

Alexander Leo Hunt
Alexandra Eve Hunt

OP, not keen on Alexandria, a bit much.
How about Alexandra Juliet Hunt.

Oysterbabe · 13/09/2016 10:42

Alexa Joy Hunt. Affectionately referred to as AJ.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 13/09/2016 11:42

Alexa Joy is lovely.

MrsCaecilius · 13/09/2016 12:27

Alexandria is awesome!

How about:
Alexandria Ophelia
Alexandria Felicity
Alexandria Imogen
Alexandria Emma
Alexandria Louisa
Alexandria Lucy

Sophronia · 13/09/2016 15:28

Alexandria is a bit much, but Alexandra and Alexander are lovely.

Alexandra Elizabeth and Alexander Leo

damngirl · 13/09/2016 15:34

Alexandria is too much of a mouthful

CancellyMcChequeface · 13/09/2016 18:02

I like Alexandra June and Alexander Leo best.

Alexandria is a nice name too but I'd definitely go for a one-syllable middle name (so not Ivy) if I chose it. Kay or Claire would sound nice. Alexandria Eve is too vowelly towards the end (ee-ah-ee).

Elizabeth is too much with a long first name, and I really dislike Harrison, but the other choices sound fine, too!

Alexandra Louise
Really don't like your boys middle names, Alexander and Harrison? Just no. Alexander Edward?
