Noah is a boy's name. Riley is a girl's name. What exactly are we deciding?

Riley is not a girls name in this country.

The op might find it helpful to know a name is considered a girls name outside the UK. Who knows where her ds might one day study or work?

I think the girls name Noa is spelled without the h.

Riley is predominantly a boys name in England and Wales.

In 2015, it ranked as 40th most popular boys name, and 539th most popular girls name. So most people in the UK would consider it normal enough for a boy.

Personally though, I prefer Noah. Noah was the 7th most popular boys name in 2015 BTW.

Riley

My maiden name was Riley and there's nothing bad about it?! It's one of our son's middle names as I am one of six daughters so we have all given our sons it as a middle name. I love it for a little boy-my friend has a Riley and we call him Smiley Riley, he's a treasure.

Noah. By miles.

Noah.

Riley is awful, it's in the next batch of 'Connors' , Dylans', Ryans' and Bradley's'.
