Ryan or Bradley?

Expecting a baby boy in 6 weeks. DH is very dismissive of most suggestions, but seems fixated on either Ryan or Bradley. I quite like both but I'm not totally convinced and can't make my mind up which I prefer! He will be a brother to DD Carla (2.5), and middle name likely to either be the one we don't use or Benjamin.

Others on my shortlist were Guy, Oakley, Scott, Todd, Rufus, Blake, Jake, Ralph and Rafa. DH not keen! Open to any other suggestions along these lines.

Thanks in advance for your input!

I don't like Ryan or Bradley at all personally. Owen is nicer, but Rufus is my favourite. It's lovely. I quite like Roo as a nn for a little boy too.

Can you imagine a 50/60/70 year old as a Ryan? With names I went through ages in my head and tried to work out if they would suit.

Owen is lovely, I like Jake and Todd too.

What about Jack?

Kenworthington · 04/09/2016 20:52

Rufus or Ralph. Think the rest are actually truly awful. SorryBlush

I know a Ryan with a PhD so even if he was naughty in school it hasn't held him back from having ambition and interest in learning. (I've no idea what he was like in school).

Think I prefer Ryan over Bradley, though like both. Owen is nice too.

I prefer Ryan to Bradley, Bradley Benjamin seems a bit of a mouthful, I really like Ryan Scott if you could convince OH Smile

Jake is lovely or Jacob and never goes out of fashion it's my DSS s name and he's 39!!!!!!!!!

purplepaisley · 07/09/2016 17:39

I know brothers called Bradley and Ryan! Both good names.

KondosSecretJunkRoom · 07/09/2016 17:45

Rufus or Ralph sounds like the name of an over-stuffed banker.

NanaNina · 07/09/2016 17:47

Totally agree with hepzibar - Ryan and Bradley (especially) are chavvy names in my experience. Sorry I know that sounds snobby but I'm just being realistic. Anything else!

USBstuck · 07/09/2016 18:01

Owen was high on our list, it's a really nice name.

But Ryan is preferable to Bradley, if it has to be one of those two.

Foxtato · 08/09/2016 19:36

I like Ryan Benjamin or Rufus Benjamin
