I don't like it. It sounds like the name of a cartoon character or cow. Sorry!

JogWithADog · 26/08/2016 11:09

Yes lowly has it! Daisy and Maisy are cow names.

JogWithADog · 26/08/2016 11:09

Sorry loyly

cosmicglittergirl · 26/08/2016 11:13

There are two in my DD's nursery, I hadn't heard it before but I much prefer Ivy from your list.

RubyJack · 26/08/2016 11:18

I like Daisy May
But also like Maisy

HmmmHashtag · 26/08/2016 11:41

I know an adult Maisy who has a decent job so go for it! But also really like your other name choices.

SteviebunsBottrittrundle · 26/08/2016 14:07

I wouldn't choose Maisy if I already had a Daisy. Just too confusing for me!

Besides that, I don't really like it. It just isn't my cup of tea.

How about Martha or Mary?

ClockMakerSue · 26/08/2016 14:13

She doesn't already have a Daisy - it's one of the other names considered.

SteviebunsBottrittrundle · 26/08/2016 14:15

We also have Ivy, Darcy, Daisy

Oh sorry, I read this^^ as "we already have children called..."

ClockMakerSue · 26/08/2016 14:16

I asked if she had any others on the list. I too love Martha!

SteviebunsBottrittrundle · 26/08/2016 14:16

Of the names you've listed OP I like Ivy the best by far though also quite like Daisy. It's much nicer to me than Maisy for some reason.

twinjocks · 26/08/2016 14:17

I love the name Maisy - and I disagree with those who say it's too cute and won't suit an adult - my next-door neighbour growing up was a strong, no-nonsense farmer's wife and teacher called Maisie, nothing cutesy-poo (what a horrid phrase) about her - and her name suited her admirably.

twinjocks · 26/08/2016 14:19

Just reading back, I forgot to say Maisie NDN was a funny, wonderful woman as well as strong and no-nonsense - she doesn't sound so nice in my previous post, but she was lovely! So OP, I say name your DD Maisy!

BuntyFigglesworthSpiffington · 26/08/2016 14:23

I'd rank them from favourite to least

Ivy
Daisy
Darcey
Maisy

SteviebunsBottrittrundle · 26/08/2016 14:26

I would rank, from favourite to least:

  1. Ivy
  2. Daisy
  3. Maisy
  4. Darcy
KoalaDownUnder · 26/08/2016 14:32

What Bunty said.

MrsGsnow18 · 26/08/2016 16:25

I like Maisy okay, but from your list I prefer Ivy.
Not a fan of Daisy.

LarrytheCucumber · 26/08/2016 16:30

I knew an adult Maisy who would be in her 80s now if she were alive. Why do people always assume that names like Maisy and Daisy don't suit adults?

CancellyMcChequeface · 26/08/2016 18:51

Maisy is too cutesy. From your list, I like Ivy best.

0pti0na1 · 26/08/2016 18:52

I like all on your list, including Maisie (with this spelling).

truemovies · 26/08/2016 18:54

Poison Ivy Hmm

Crunchymum · 26/08/2016 19:17

Too "fru-fru" for my tastes. Same as Daisy, Elsie, Tilly, Milly etc.
