Hi, I'm pregnant with a little girl and I would like a name for her, before she's born. I've thought of a few, but nothing seems quite right. Blush

Can anyone offer some name advice?

There's a fab MNer called Althea which is lovely.

If you like Freesia what about Briar?

@tmi did you find a solution in the end? Tillie-Mae is really cute.

@choco Althea is nice. I wonder if it would be shortened to Alth though.

@user thank you for your suggestions. I actually like the way Athena Lily looks and sounds together. Do you think it sounds boring though? Phoebe Athena sounds nice, but would be a mouthful with Lily on the end.

I don't think Athena Lily sounds boring at all, it sounds lovely, I don't know of anymore little girls, with
this name either. It may grow on you.

@user I don't know of any little Athenas, but you never know. But it does sound really lovely to me, I actually really like it. But nobody else I've mentioned it to seems like it. I never liked the name at all until I was pregnant, so totally weird as it just grew on me.

@chocolit I wouldn't plan to shorten it, but I could understand if other people did. Thea is a cute nn too.

@ jellycat (cool username by the way) I like Felicity, but it's a little bit of a mouthful, but it does have a nice meaning too.

You know, until I found out I was having a little girl, I always thought boys were easier to name!

I don't like the look of Athene, because I can just imagine her having to correct everyone with the pronunciation. There's also Port Atheni in Greece, so it's not a made up spelling. Grin

@coconutty (also a fab username) thank you for your suggestions. I think Amara is nice, but not sure whether I'd use it.

I like Athena, and also was thinking about the Port Atheni reference 😄

Hmmm sorry but id much rather be be named Athene after a Greek goddess than Atheni after a Greek port, even if it meant having to spell it occasionally!!

How about Alethea? Also love Cecilia as pp said.
