Yes they are.

Justmuddlingalong · 23/08/2016 20:06

You do realise that when they're older and you give them a telling off, you will do that name morphing thing and call them Minnie Willie?

sonlypuppyfat · 23/08/2016 20:06

Millie is the word we use for ehm lady parts, so millie wouldn't work in this house

MrsHulk · 23/08/2016 20:17

Yes too similar, sorry

ClockMakerSue · 23/08/2016 20:23

I think what Just said is something to really consider! I stumble over names in just that way...

SorenaJ · 24/08/2016 12:38

Yes, I think so, when I read it I went Minnie and Willie in my head..

Lancelottie · 24/08/2016 12:41

Yes, too similar. DD has friends Lily and Poppy whom I permanently find myself calling 'Polly and, erm, Lippy'.

pennyunwise · 24/08/2016 12:43

I think so too, sorry

wesH · 24/08/2016 15:49

Yes

bakeoffcake · 24/08/2016 15:52

Yes. I once knew someone with a Lydia and Olivia.

It was a nightmare!

SteviebunsBottrittrundle · 24/08/2016 16:00

Hmmm I guess it maybe depends on your accent, but I would say probably they are a little bit too similar IMHO.

sycamore54321 · 24/08/2016 17:04

Very similar when spoken. Great excuse for child 1 to pretend she thought you were really actually speaking to child 2 when she wants to disobey an instruction etc. As well as sounding too similar, the combo is a bit too twee and cutesy for my taste - you are not naming cartoon characters - but that is a personal preference.

MrsGsnow18 · 24/08/2016 22:35

I don't think they sound alike at all ( at least not when I say them) but if j try to say them quickly I do end up saying Minnie and Willie so I can see what other posters mean!

Yes too similar.

TeaRexit · 24/08/2016 23:14

Yes.

TownMouseCuntMouse · 25/08/2016 15:16

I definitely got a willy/minnie genitalia vibe from them as a set 😬
