Shortlist for boys names - thoughts?

We have finally got a relatively short shortlist, but OH most likes the two I like least, and vice-versa. Very frustrating. What are your thoughts, dear MN users? Please ignore the popularity factor - we're aware of each name's popularity and it's not a HUGE issue for either of us.

Noah
Aaron
Leo
Owen

Owen

My faves are Leo and Noah. I don't tend to like -n ending names for some reason, but I think I prefer Owen to Aaron. How about Evan or Ewan/Euan?

Ohsofat · 20/08/2016 20:56

I'd go for Noah

Brownl13 · 20/08/2016 21:01

Love Leo and Noah - depends on how they go with your surname but Noah has the edge for me Smile

Owen is my favourite. Leo and Noah are so popular here that I'm bored of them but if I really loved a name I'd use it regardless of popularity.

LegoMummy123 · 20/08/2016 21:06

I love Leo. It sounds so adorable for a young boy but it's also manly enough for someone older. And it is still a bit different. I know you gave us 4 options, but have you thought about Hugo? Sorry for not following the rules...

pennyunwise · 20/08/2016 22:21

LegoMummy123 I'm pretty sure we have thought about every name in existence by this point! I really like Hugo but OH vetoed it immediately.

The point we're at is that I really like Noah but I LOVE Leo. OH really likes Leo but LOVES Noah. Neither of us want to choose a name that we don't both love, but it's seeming increasingly unlikely.

Tough situation!

Owain

Dogolphin · 21/08/2016 18:32

Or you could combine them, Neo!

septembersunshine · 21/08/2016 18:54

I would go for Leo. When I hear Noah all I can now hear is: 'do you KNOW HER?' Know her... Noah. It's annoying because I do like the name. So I would go for Leo. Or how about Theo? which is next door to Leo...

Not keen on the other two names. Good luck!

Aaron and Owen I dislike.
Noah I detest. It sound like a strained protest!
Leo would be my preference.
