For a boy? Thanks!

I just think straightaway of the Beckhams so it's a no from me. I like Roman too.

I know an Italian one and it's pronounced Ro-MAY-o which sounds better. Still wouldn't use it though.

I'm quite open minded about names but I would also have to say no to Romeo (sorry). It just isn't my cup of tea and I would think of the play first, a Casanova type / 'stud' / ladies' man, the beckhams and then so solid crew. It's strange as Juliet wouldn't be associated with romance for me but Romeo is in my head for some reason.

It's OK, but everyone would think they were original with saying "Wherefore art thou Romeo?" as a joke. It would get very tiresome.

Thanks orange & OP. I now have 21 Seconds as an earworm.

As for the name Romeo, it's ok I think if you're of Latin descent

Also makes me think of the Beckhams, which would put me off.

I think people get Romeo confused with Casanova. Not sure why they think a Romeo would be some sort of dashing playboy when he was actually a suicidal teenager with stalker tendencies!

No, don't do it.
