Sarah
Aoife (as in ee-fa)

Alice
Ailbhe (as in al-va)
Mila

DH likes Layla but I'm not keen

I'm leaning towards Sarah

Sarah is beautiful, classic and not that common these days!

I also do like Layla as a name but I would be worried that it will date quite quickly
How does your DH feel about Sarah?

MyKingdomForBrie · 20/07/2016 01:11

Mila

NoncommittalToSparkleMotion · 20/07/2016 01:11

I like Layla and Sarah!

Emma, Jessica and Alice are good too.

WottyMcWottFace · 20/07/2016 01:24

For me it would be Sarah!

Ditsy4 · 20/07/2016 01:28

Leah
Sarah not many about now and also a lovely name.

Liz09 · 20/07/2016 01:37

Sarah is my favourite from your list.

I also like Leah (have only ever known one and she spelt it Lia).

I like Layla, but would be concerned about it sounding dated a few years from now. It seems abnormally popular at the moment, which generally means that its popularity will fall at some point and it will become dated sounding.

A lot of people seem to love Alice and I want to... but every Alice I've known has been seriously dumb. Every one. Even the one from the Vicar of Dibley.

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 20/07/2016 03:05

Leah and Amy are surely due a come back

KoalaDownUnder · 20/07/2016 03:08

Mila or Alice.

Sarah is the most boring name ever (sorry). Ditto Emma.

OlennasWimple · 20/07/2016 03:43

Are you Irish?

Imaginosity · 20/07/2016 06:51

Yes Irish

I really like Sarah but i think it seems a bit boring as it was a popular name from our day - that's the only thing putting me off it.

Alice

OhTheRoses · 20/07/2016 07:03

Alice. Sarah's a 50+ name. Although I love it, it's a bit dated without having granny chic. Xara would be better.

CourtJester · 20/07/2016 09:11

Mila or Ashley (but i prefer the spelling Ashleigh for a girl)

I have never really liked Sarah, i think i always found it borning becuase it was soooo popular in it's day. But i do like Sara as an alternative.

Sophronia · 20/07/2016 09:15

I think Sarah is beautiful

I also like Julia, Emma, Leah and Alice

WhyCantIuseTheNameIWant · 20/07/2016 13:16

Al-va
Sarah
Alice (or alys )

Not going to insult any Irish by attempting Al-va on a tiny phone screen in glaring sun

SteviebunsBottrittrundle · 20/07/2016 13:28

Emma, Mila and Alice are my favourites off your list. All really lovely! Smile

wigglesrock · 20/07/2016 16:24

I like Sarah a lot. We have a dd whose middle name is Sadie after a Sarah. I also like Mila and Julia from your list, although I prefer Juliet. I find Ashleigh, Jessica, Amy, and Leah a bit dated, a bit meh. Same with Aoife - especially where I live - it's like the Evie/Amelia of its time or sort of what you're worried about with regards to Sarah Grin - A nice name but very very popular.

NotYoda · 20/07/2016 18:42

If I had a girl tomorrow, it would be a really hard choice between Leah and Julia

Sarah is also nice

NotYoda · 20/07/2016 18:43

I don't like Ashley, amy or Alice, though
