I thought zydaan would be pronounced Zid-aan....like The footballer. Yes Danny or Dan would be fine for a nickname, but it's a short name anyway, why use a nickname?

I've heard it pronounced both ways. I think they sound the same anyway but yea it's like the footballer, just different spelling.

We want an Islamic name and also I don't like daniel really.

Oooooh sorry I thought it was more like Zy (rhymes with eye) Dan. I like either pronunciation. It's much nicer than Daniel lovely.

Sorry, just to clarify the reason I suggested Adam is because it is Islamic but also English (I think). Would have been a pretty random suggestion otherwise!!!
