How many Noahs do you know-a?

This is far and away our favourite name for our incoming baby boy. The only one we both truly love. We don't live in the UK so I'm not letting it's apparent recent popularity put me off too much (it's almost unheard of where we live), but I'm curious as to how much eye-rolling there will be from my friends and family back home when we tell them. Are there tons of Noahs everywhere?

I have a Noah... I don't regret using it. I love it so much. Also, I only know of 1 other - he is 1. Mine is 8... Go with it!

I think we're convinced, thanks! We could always wait for the ONS yearly list to come out next month though :D

You can't shorten Noah to NoShock

Jojoclaire · 12/07/2016 16:49

I'm slightly amused that they seem to come two by two...

I know one who is about 5. It's a nice name, if you like it, go for it!

UntilTheCowsComeHome · 12/07/2016 19:19

I know 5.

One is 12, one is 10 and the other 3 are newish babies.

madeupmummylife · 12/07/2016 19:20

Only one! He's 5!

WanderingTrolley1 · 12/07/2016 19:20

2 Noah's, one is almost 3 and the other is 6. There may be a Noah in our small school but can't remember, lovely name

flowery · 14/07/2016 11:02

There are three in DS2's year one class.

lastqueenofscotland · 14/07/2016 12:32

1 who's 6. Lovely name

ThisPasadenaHomemaker · 14/07/2016 12:36

They're everywhere here (W Yorks). There are 4 or 5 at DD's school.

If you're not bothered about popularity/trendiness of a name then go for it. It's a deal-breaker for me.

I also find it quite a drippy name so don't understand the appeal.

liquidrevolution · 14/07/2016 14:23

several. All of differents ages under 10.

Jonah which a friend used instead of Noah is rising in popularity too. Either way dont let it put you off. Both are lovely names.

Four, that I can think of off the top of my head, but I'm sure there are a few more in DD's school that I don't know. It's hugely popular here (London).

LackOfAdhesiveDucks · 14/07/2016 16:49

I'm in Canada. I only know 1 Noah and he's 6.

ChipAndDale · 14/07/2016 19:45

I know 1, but he's a teenager...

megletthesecond · 14/07/2016 19:49

Two. Both at dd's infant school.

Vajazzler · 14/07/2016 19:57

I love it! I only know one Noah and he happens to be my youngest!

HippyPottyMouth · 14/07/2016 20:12

Two boy Noahs, aged 2 and 3, oh, and somebody I worked with years ago had one, he'd be about 16 now. One girl Noa, 2.

CPtart · 14/07/2016 20:15

Two. I irrationally detest the name though. It sounds like a strained protest. But go with what you love despite popularity.

augustusdecimus · 10/08/2016 13:16

Only one and he's 5.

SteviebunsBottrittrundle · 10/08/2016 13:19

3

SteviebunsBottrittrundle · 10/08/2016 13:22

To expand on above; 2 are 5 and 6 and live in Ireland and the other is just over 2 and lives in Home Counties. Just in case geography makes a difference!
