This is DS born yesterday. DH likes Reuben, I like Alec. Neither of us like the others choice so we need help to come up with something we can both agree on. Here he is...

Samuel, Joshua, Lucas, ben

Hey Becks, what a gorgeous picture! He's adorable! I actually really like both those names (not helpful). Or how about Zachary or Joshua? Caleb? Robert? Lucas? (Although I may need some of those back in a couple of weeks - we haven't decided yet either...)

I think he looks like an Alexander nn Alec.

Thank you for all the suggestions. Looking at him last night when he was fast asleep I thought he looked like a Sam. DH hasn't said no!!! We were also thinking about Patrick yesterday but not so sure today.

I love Samuel and Alec.

Sam is a lovely name. Strong, sociable, calm and thoughtful, is how a Sam seems in my head. (No reason, that's just what the name makes me think of.) And Samuel is a nice long-form too.

Samuel/Sam is lovely.

I prefer Alec, it's easier to pronounce in foreign languages because the spelling is closer that how it sounds.

(Also Reuben is the name of a type of toasted sandwich in the US)

Just a little update, we finally settled on Benjamin John. DD has already nicknamed him Benny! Thank you for all your suggestions.

Renatto was always my fav name for a boy. A rare one
