Nothing too commonly used, nothing super weird. Unusual is fine. Nature-themed would be amazing. DS1 is Rowan.

Go!

Ted. I really wanted ted for my ds2 and I wasn't allowed.....

OutsiderInTheGarden · 22/06/2016 14:17

Oooh I like Ted! Would you go with just Ted, or Edward/Theodore?

Basil, Robin, Sylvan, Flint, Ash, Briar, Wolf, Ulric (wolf-ish), Peregrine (because of the falcon).

Can't think of other nature names for boys.

OutsiderInTheGarden · 22/06/2016 14:24

Love Peregrine and Wolf Smile Know my OH would never go for them though.

Rowan and Robin/Robbie is nice

1horatio · 22/06/2016 16:13

Well, I like Robin. Although the double R... So I'd probably go for Orion or Flint. But that's just my personal taste :)

I really like Rowan as a boy name (though I dislike it for a girl, for some reason).

Thanks for the suggestions. I've put Kit, Sonny, Ted, Sterling (or is it Stirling?) Magnus, Lawrence (Laurie), Florian and Peregrine onto the long list so far.

OH has added Angus, Victor, Nial and Morgan. I only like Victor. Confused

Possible middle names so far: Rocco, Wilde/Wilder, Henry, Benjamin.

Thewolfsjustapuppy · 23/06/2016 10:27

Oh I like Florian where did that come from?
If you like Victor what about Hector?

OutsiderInTheGarden · 23/06/2016 10:38

I love Hector! I would use it but a close friend has a Hector already. Florian, I'm not sure where I heard it? Maybe OH once had an acquantaince through work? Nobody close to us though. And I think Florrie is a lovely nn, but trying to decide if it's too difficult a name to live with? Hmm

1horatio · 23/06/2016 10:45

Florian is brilliant:)I know a Florian. He doesn't seem to mind the name.
Plus, aren'oot kids nowadays used to slightly unusual names?

FinallyMadeIt · 23/06/2016 10:46

Husani, it means handsome.

CeeCee00 · 23/06/2016 10:50

Asa... Pronounced Ace-er (like the tree which is one of my favourite) It's a Hebrew name meaning 'Healer' which I thought was a nice thing. It was top of my list whilst I was pregnant but we had a girl who we called Astrid.

OutsiderInTheGarden · 23/06/2016 10:54

CeeCee Astrid was in my top 2 if DC2 was a girl! It's so beautiful and (in my mind at least) strong sounding. I liked Axel in the same vein for a boy, but OH has absolutely vetoed it.

CeeCee00 · 23/06/2016 11:11

Outsider Great minds! A strong sounding name for a girl was one of the reasons we chose it. Plus I'm a sucker for a Scandinavian name.

I think Florian is also great as is it was one of the guys from Kraftwerk, which is a pretty great namesake.

OutsiderInTheGarden · 23/06/2016 11:21

Oooh I didn't know that CeeCee! Might help me sell it to my OH.
