Super excited to be expecting DC#2. We found out the gender last time but this time having a surprise. I love talking baby names and all being well, this will be our last so I want to indulge a little! Naming a person is such a big responsibility so I'd love to hear any suggestions based on our list (including the long list DH has vetoed!)

Girls names we both like:
Clara
Seren

Names I like but are not to DH's taste!
Ada
Cordelia
Rosie
Tabitha
Matilda

Boys:
Arthur
Benjamin
Toby
(Can't use Edward, William, Henry or Sam- names I love!)

I would disregard the names your husband doesn't like. As it is your second I'm sure you know how important it is that you're in agreement.

I really like Clara and Arthur from your list. Though I do think Lara is nicer than Clara.

Thank yo for the suggestions. Some lovely unusual names I hadn't thought of! Yes I have disregarded the names DH isn't a fan of. I just listed them to give a vibe of the sort of names I like!

I like Cleo and Etta. Shall add them to the list!

I really like Seren and Serena. Not really struck on the boys options.

cecilelliott · 21/06/2016 20:02

I love Seren and Clara

Our of your boys' names, I like Ben the most. There are LOADS of Tobys around at the moment-and the name has become very stale as a result IMO. There are also quite a few Arthurs.
Also, these will date more IMO while Ben is more of classic.

What about Patrick or Robert for a boy? Not many around and lovely names as well as nicknames.

Good Luck!
