New we were having boys so, not girls' names ever got a look in

CustardOmlet · 09/07/2016 22:08

Another one who had Kester vitoed, so we are settling with Kit as the full name (I hate nn as full names normally, so I'm feeling quite twitchy about this!)

Cineraria · 09/07/2016 23:20

Felix, James or Emil as middle names for DS.

Anything other than his favourite name for a girl (I got to name DS whatever I wanted in exchange).

Italktomycat · 09/07/2016 23:31

I loved the name Wren but DH said it was too weird and suggested Catharine....(bit old fashioned for me)

ABCFamily · 10/07/2016 00:40

I'm on my own but every name I picked that could get my grans name as a nickname everyone said they hated it or it looks made up. Every name is made up technically any way but they were real legit names and not coming from my imagination lol. I seem to hate every name that everyone else loves and love names that everyone hates. If it's a name in the top 1000 every one says its overused and too popular. If it's not a name in the top 1000 everyone says it looks misspelled and made up lol. I can't win either way.

my ex and his wife vetoed (well not vetoed, they didn't actually have voting powers as such but loads of people were over when DS2 was two weeks old and unnamed, and we had a ballot) gabriel, which I really liked - they said it was awful and too christmassy. they then used it for their first DS Grin
