Really struggling, Harry, George and Joe are already 'taken' by close family members. I really like Henry George but DP really doesn't. Any suggestions please?

NanaNina we had loads of beautiful girl's names prepared, but no. Oliver is lovely, and can be shortened as well, which I like.

DS2 was going to be Edward but in the end he was Tom.

I think Henry is perfect too. Here's hoping he really looks like a Henry when he makes an appearance! I also like:
Hector and Edward
Fergus and Edward
Charlie and Edward
Theo and Edward
Jonah and Edward
Benjamin and Edward
Oscar and Edward

Henry is simply lovely. Try convincing your husband? ;)

It's a really brilliant name, imo.

LadyAntonella · 01/06/2016 19:01

My favourite it names arm are:

Caspar
Arthur
Isaac

Think they'd all go well with Edward. Smile

LadyAntonella · 01/06/2016 19:01

Favourite boy names not it names.

LadyAntonella · 01/06/2016 19:02

And atm not arm!

Cockadoodledooo · 01/06/2016 19:15

Showing my age here, but what about William?

Then you can have Bill and Ted! Grin

Bertieboo1 · 01/06/2016 19:22

We have an Edward (nn Teddy) and an Albert (nn Bertie). Love Henry too.

MumOnACornishFarm · 01/06/2016 19:22

cockadoodle that would be totally bodacious.

MotherOfGlob · 01/06/2016 19:28

DP has just read this thread and is warming to Henry because of the positive comments. Hurrah! Loads to choose from now that we hadn't thought of though, thanks all. Will be back with the final decision (sooner rather than later hopefully Grin )

A friend of mine has an Edward ... and a Henry and William. I love the name Henry!

MarvinKMooney · 01/06/2016 21:53

cockadoodle - we thought 'Bill and Ted' at the time (over 10 years ago). Thankfully that cultural reference seems to be lost on today's teenagers Smile

I'm with your DP on Henry. I think it's awful. I can't fathom why everyone raves over the name

cecilelliott · 02/06/2016 20:28

Henry is lovely! I've always liked the shortening Hal.
Alexander also great, like Daniel too and Hector-as mentioned above.
Jack also goes well I think

Might also slip in Patrick?

I would avoid Toby as a name that seems to be everywhere at the moment and (IMO) will probably "date" faster than all your classic choices.

Good luck!

MotherOfGlob · 02/06/2016 22:48

Thanks cecilelliott Smile I really like Hal too.
