Lara or cara

Hi what do people think of these 2 names? Am drawn to the Irish connection with cara but think that Lara has a softer sound. Thanks!

I prefer Cara (a good Latin name, and pretty). But both are nice.

I was also going to suggest Ciara for an Irish-related and similar name - v pretty

Cara is very pretty. Carla is another option.

I like both. But I prefer Lana to both of them.

Cara is too hard and makes me think of cars. Lara is too soft and wishy-washy. Clara is nice but a bit prim (think I've got that from Heidi). Carla has the strength of the C followed by the softness of the L.
Now, go forth, ignore me, and do as you wish 😉

I love Lara but Cara is a bit mousy and dowdy, IMO.

Of the two, definitely prefer Cara.
What about Cora?

I prefer Lara but both are lovely.

Also love Zara and Mara. For some weird reason I'm indifferent to Sara and Tara.

Both lovely, but would probably go for Cara, it's a bit softer sounding.
