Niamh?

My husband's family are Irish, I'm not. We live in England. Currently expecting a girl. What are thoughts on Niamh? Love the sound of it (prod Nee-ve) just not sure if we'd be setting her up for a lifetime of irritation?

Agree with other posters that Niamh is dated in Ireland. The youngest one I know (and I know a lot of them...) would be at least 35. As a previous poster said, for me it would be like calling your baby Joanne or Amanda. I know a few here in London and they usually get called Neem until people learn how to pronounce it. Personally I think it's quite a boring name but that's probably because they were two a penny when I was growing up.
