So 5 days till due date and hubby decides he didn't like the name Oscar James anymore if this one is a boy. My next fab name is Matthew but I'm worried Matthew James sounds too biblical ? What do u think ?

That's my DB's name 🙂 I think it's lovely.

GreenBeans17 · 18/05/2016 23:02

Matthew James is gorgeous! Not too biblical Smile I love Noah Matthew, for a boy, so I would say that! Grin

I prefer Matthew (over Oscar)... Blush it's so handsome, go for it!

DramaAlpaca · 18/05/2016 23:04

It's a lovely combination, really nice.

SunnySomer · 18/05/2016 23:06

Oscar is v trendy and will date, whereas Matthew James is totally classic. I love it

GettingScaredNow · 18/05/2016 23:13

Are you happy with him being called MJ?

Cos could happen.

Nice name though

Mumoftwoyoungkids · 18/05/2016 23:17

It is a very common combination. The world and his wife will announce that it is the same name as their dad / brother / son.

It is also the most fabulous boys name combination in the world!

IMurderedStampyLongnose · 18/05/2016 23:21

It's my sons exact name, and I love it!

BackforGood · 18/05/2016 23:27

Lovely name(s). Not too biblical at all - I mean, obviously both are in the bible, but have been used over centuries and transcended into the secular too.
Really good choice, IMO. Smile

Thank you very much for all ur opinions!

It's lovely Smile

Bugger1ugs · 19/05/2016 00:33

Lovely name, and the name of one of my very best lifelong friends. Go with it!

Absolutelyfabulously · 19/05/2016 05:03

Lovely, I much prefer to Oscar James.

Ankleswingers · 19/05/2016 05:09

Very nice name. IMO one you can't go wrong with.

bushtailadventures · 19/05/2016 05:27

I think it's a lovely name, classic. I called my eldest DS that over 20 years ago and it still sounds lovely Smile

It could be seen as biblical, but then a lot of our traditional names did come from the Bible, so I don't see it as a problem.

pilates · 19/05/2016 09:26

Lovely, much better than Oscar James

Thurlow · 19/05/2016 09:29

Great name, very classic.

Pipilangstrumpf · 19/05/2016 10:01

Matthew is quite nice, but I really don't like Matt.

EmmaWoodlouse · 19/05/2016 16:07

I think it's lovely and although Matthew is a popular name, it's not so popular right now that he'd be one of 3 in the class.

Oscar James just makes me think of this actor: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oscar_James

twilightcafe · 19/05/2016 16:12

I love Matthew. but I'm biased

DustOffYourHighestHopes · 19/05/2016 16:13

Classic but a bit boring

Allalonenow · 19/05/2016 16:13

It's a great name, will not date and will work well when he is an adult, and so much nicer than Oscar.

Sophronia · 20/05/2016 00:14

Lovely, and Matthew is nicer than Oscar.

sn0wdr0p4 · 20/05/2016 00:23

My son's name , he is 35.
When he was born my mother's friend wrote a poem. One of the lines was "you thought of saints and granddad and called him Matthew James"

Queenbean · 20/05/2016 00:25

Classic but so boring

Add zanzibar or something as a second middle name
