Two completely different names but I'm really torn. I really liked Esther but my husband was really against itConfused

Joni. Big fan of JM!

Tuiles · 17/05/2016 10:14

DP wanted Joni (or Jimi for a boy). I tentatively put Joanie and Jeanie on the list, but choose something else in the end.

mathanxiety · 18/05/2016 01:40

DS would have been Joan with NN Joanie or Joni if he had been a she.

Chimchar · 18/05/2016 07:00

Joni.
Absolutely love it. Also love Martha and Esther!

autumnmoon · 18/05/2016 11:32

Joni!

septembersunshine · 18/05/2016 13:00

Is Joni pronounced Jonny? or Jo - nee? I have never really thought about this name. It looks a bit like Joan which is not to my taste. Bit confused by it so I'll go with Martha. You know where you are with Martha!

squoosh · 18/05/2016 13:01

The same way Joni Mitchell pronounces it.

Pipilangstrumpf · 18/05/2016 15:20

I also don't know how to pronounce Joni (don't know who Joni Mitchel is) and it looks like a boys name to me (Johnnie).

Scarydinosaurs · 18/05/2016 15:25

SACRILEGIOUS! Joan-ee.

YouTube "blue" by Joni Mitchell and enjoy.

One of my favourite singers of all time.

I like both but Joni edges it

I know you didn't ask, but

What about

Stevie
Robyn
Billie

DontKillMyVibe · 18/05/2016 18:44

I have Joni on my list and really like it. The only thing that puts me off is a potential nn of Jo which I hate.

Martha is OK though seems to be rising fast in popularity.

NotYoda · 18/05/2016 18:45

Last girl

I think Martha is pretty mainstream. I don't think it's laughing stock territory at all.

GreenBeans17 · 18/05/2016 23:03

I don't like either Blush sorry!

Martha is better though.

Scarydinosaurs · 20/05/2016 17:12

This has inspired me to have Joni on my baby girl list.

JonSnowsBeardClippings · 20/05/2016 21:57

Joni is a fucking cool name. Do it!

HeatherElizabeth1 · 25/05/2016 10:07

My 5 year old is Martha Iris. Obviously I love the name. Martha means 'Lady' and she is my fierce little lady. I also love the name Mabel. Joni is cool too.

notagiraffe · 25/05/2016 10:09

Martha. Or Joanie. Don't like the Joni spelling.

notagiraffe · 25/05/2016 10:10

Martha is a lovely name. I know some very cute little Marthas. Very strong, solid name.
