Does Younas make you think of anus?

My husband is vetoing Younas (Arabic boy's name) because he says it sounds like anus and will cause teasing at school. What do you think?

How is it pronounced?

To me it sounds very different from anus.

It wouldn't have occurred to me, but now that you mention it, it's sort of half eunuch and half anus.

Jonas would be safer. Nice name.

Thank you for your comments. I would pronounce it like the Scandinavian Jonas but I don't want to spell it with a j because it will get pronounced like the Jonas brothers. I think it's quite a sweet name for a boy and doesn't at all make me think of anus. Dh named ds1 and promised I get to name dc2. Does this spelling make it any better 'Yonas'?

I do prefer Yonas, for me definitely better than Younas (which would lead me to pronounce the ou like it is pronounced in noun)
Colon is a name that always reminds me of well someone's colon...

Dd11 went to primary school with a younas, was never an issue. It was pronounced You nus.

I prefer Yonas. But no, Younas doesn't make me think of anus.

I worked with a lovely guy named Younis - I never once thought his name sounded like anus.
