Adora?

Came across this just now. Thoughts?

Adora Belle Dearheart was known as Spike by those who loved her.

Adora has a nice sound, but it's a bit OTT really - sounds like 'adore-her', so comes across as quite twee.

What's wrong with just Dora? Or there's Amadora, Isadora, Medora.

I like Adora. It reminds me of Anora, which is on my list. It's really pretty!

Another thread reminds me of the name Pandora but Isadora is far nicer.

Don't like it at all. I love Aurora though, I think it sounds completely different.

I associate it with Princess Adora, whose alter ego was She-Ra, and was the twin sister of Prince Adam (aka He-Man). Letting my geeky side show there.

An alternative you might like is Adara, which is a Hebrew name, meaning noble.
