Thoughts or alternatives most welcome!

David! It's a great name and very underused nowadays.

NoncommittalToSparkleMotion · 26/04/2016 16:11

Thomas and Henry are my favourites.

Also my favourite tank engines Grin

BertieBeatle · 26/04/2016 18:06

Really not sure about David. Yeah it's less used than the others but that's because it's become a bit dated, and he will just get called Dave. Everyone has an uncle Dave or a boss called Dave.

I like Henry, Edward and Thomas. Thomas is probably my fave.

LadyAntonella · 26/04/2016 18:10

Henry or Edward. But they're all nice!

1horatio · 26/04/2016 19:23

They're all fine. I can imagine classic/traditional names going very well with a somewhat complicated/longer (?) surname.

David: a really lovely & awesome name
Henry: also lovely
Edward: nice
Thomas: nice, but very popular
Daniel: I really don't like it.

Raines100 · 26/04/2016 20:26

Fabulous names, OP. Classics are unimpeachable, and actually, they can stand out amidst a class of Finleys, Archies, and Noahs (all of which are nice, but they will be out of vogue again in 10 years).

If I had another ds, he would be Edward, so my vote goes to that.

TurtleNeckJumper · 26/04/2016 21:48

I like them all, but not too keen on David!

Daniel is my favourite!

Summ3r · 26/04/2016 21:55

Thomas or Henry

RiverTam · 26/04/2016 22:00

I like David, Edward and Daniel, though I absolutely hate Dave, though I know it doesn't have to be inevitable.

DontKillMyVibe · 28/04/2016 18:29

A bit too classic and safe for my taste but if I had to pick it would be Edward without a doubt.

joyfulworld · 29/04/2016 07:32

Thomas, Daniel and Edward. I love these three.

Lightbulbon · 29/04/2016 07:58

Thomas quite historical, like Tom as nn
Henry too prince/King
Daniel used car salesman
Edward evil King, rubbish politicians
David Cameron 'dave' is another used car salesman.

SummerGreanland · 29/04/2016 08:00

Henry or Daniel

GruffaloPants · 29/04/2016 08:03

David, Daniel, Henry.

Not too keen on the others.

PollyHotDog · 30/04/2016 08:15

All fine, if a little dull....

rubberducker · 30/04/2016 08:19

Not David. It's a nice name in its full form but I have to disagree with a pp and say that Dave is inevitable - people will always shorten names even if you as a family don't. David is lovely, Dave is not!

I like Daniel and Thomas best from your list. I also really like Henry but that is definitely popular round these parts.

GruffaloPants · 30/04/2016 08:57

If you are in Scotland the nicer Davie is more likely than Dave.

counttotenandbreathe · 30/04/2016 09:19

Great names I have used 3 of them in my boys names as first and middle names. I work in a secondary school and have a steady stream of Daniel and Thomas less Edward and Henry and only have a David as a foreign child pronounced differently.

SoThatHappened · 30/04/2016 09:52

David

pieceofpurplesky · 30/04/2016 10:12

Ed, Dan,Tom are all lovely. Tom the most popular.
Dave is a 40 year old manchild/pisshead

They will get shortened

septembersunshine · 30/04/2016 11:23

I think they are all lovely classical names. Not everyone likes alternative or trendy (I know we don't!!). I love Daniel - then you have Danny or Dan has a nickname. Thomas is lovely - adore Tom. Sounds cool to me without trying. Good luck picking!

blueskyinmarch · 30/04/2016 16:05

Thomas is my dads name. He is the nicest person I the whole world so I love that name.

David is my DH's name. Also love it as he is also a very nice man!
