Hi,

Our daughter is due in September.

I think we have decided on Grace Autumn.

Opinions?

It's fine.

Inoffensive, ordinary, nice.

Abecedario · 20/04/2016 22:12

Love both those names, and I think they sound nice together.

Quite a few Graces around primary age (I teach Early Years) but haven't had any in nursery/reception for a few years.

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 20/04/2016 22:23

Autumn Grace is nicer

MrsBungle · 20/04/2016 22:26

I agree with lighthouse. Autumn Grace is lovelier.

Ludways · 20/04/2016 22:44

I like Grace Autumn, it's nice.

Itinerary · 21/04/2016 02:34

Lovely names and work well either way round.

Sothatsflatwhite · 21/04/2016 02:35

I prefer Autumn Grace too

MangosteenSoda · 21/04/2016 02:54

Lovely names which work both ways. I think Autumn Grace may flow better, but how often do people actually use their full name?

Congratulations and enjoy the rest of your pregnancy!

foximusprime1 · 21/04/2016 08:49

Autumnn Grace :)

MyBreadIsEggy · 21/04/2016 08:51

I prefer it the other way round too Smile Autumn Grace Smile

BendydickCuminsnatch · 21/04/2016 08:54

I prefer it the other way round too! Autumn is such a lovely name it's sad to 'lose it' on the middle name!

mrsschu · 21/04/2016 08:55

Grace is nice as a name if a little unimaginative. It's become pretty ubiquitous as a middle name although I haven't heard it so much as first name. Autumn is nice also, not necessarily my taste but I quite like it. I'd probably also go for Autumn Grace, makes it a little more interesting IMO.

nectarini1983 · 21/04/2016 10:37

Much prefer Autumn Grace too.

ABitAsleep · 21/04/2016 10:43

I like Autumn Grace better, but both names are lovely :)

Allalonenow · 21/04/2016 10:43

Autumn Grace sounds like a paint colour to me, a pale apricot shade.

I'd keep it as Grace Autumn.

Sophronia · 21/04/2016 12:33

Grace Autumn is nice, and I prefer it to Autumn Grace

BertieBeatle · 21/04/2016 15:50

I'm not keen on the name Grace.

GinIsIn · 21/04/2016 15:56

Another vote for Autumn Grace here too....

Roseberrry · 21/04/2016 15:59

I don't like Grace, Autumn is ok though.

septembersunshine · 21/04/2016 17:01

I love the names you have picked. Grace Autumn is beautiful and well balanced (obviously only you know what your surname is and which name goes best). I wouldn't have Autumn has a first name, it's just a bit odd to me (but I don't like naming after seasons). Just saying it aloud I find it quite clunky and not really that pretty a name for a girl or a woman. Gorgeous and different as a middle name though. Obviously just my opinion!!

septembersunshine · 21/04/2016 17:02

ps - I find it quite refreshing to not have Grace as a filler middle name and have it as a first!

SweetieDrops · 21/04/2016 17:03

I love Grace. I'd keep that as the first name, it's much better than Autumn for a grown-up, she won't be a baby forever.

1horatio · 22/04/2016 00:09

Grace is nice & cute, but also a bit of a "middle name". I'd personally go for Charis, but that's probably just me.

Autumn is imo a lovely 2nd name, it makes the Grace rather less ordinary.

I like this name combination! :)

1horatio · 22/04/2016 00:12

Autumn Grace sounds like a (very nice) scented candle or some kind of spice tea...
