Brother or sister for Charlie and William

Dc3name3 · 04/04/2016 08:07

Due DC3 any day- sure it's a boy, but don't actually know! Older DC are Charlie (Charles) and William. Any thoughts on these or other suggestions? I prefer having a formal name and then using a nickname.

So far we have:

Robert (Bertie)
Albert (Bertie)
Harry
Frederick (Freddie)
Sebastian
Louis
Christopher (Kit)
Edward (Teddy)

Or

Louisa
Lucinda (Lucy)
Arabella (Bella)
Pollyanna (Polly)
Ottilie

Edward/Teddy is lovely!
How about George?

mrsmeerkat · 04/04/2016 08:12

Samuel/Sam springs to mind.

Elise for a girl

Dc3name3 · 04/04/2016 08:15

Thanks. George is a no for various family reasons. I quite like Sam but dislike Samuel, so that's out.

Christopher and Arabella from your list.

Got her suggestions - Theodore (Theo) and Gabriella (Gabby/Ella)

Dc3name3 · 04/04/2016 08:24

Ooh I really like Theo. Thanks!

Freddie and Polly.

What about the name Phillip or Michael if you want to continue with names from the royal family? Edward is nice name too. Maybe Elizabeth, Anne, Sophie or Margaret for a girl.

ThinkingAboutNumber2 · 04/04/2016 08:35

Harry's my favourite of your boys list but I would use it in your case as with your other names it all sounds a bit too house of Windsor.

Your girls names aren't really to my taste. If I had to choose it would be Arabella. Off-list I'd go for Sophie or Emily.

ReallyTired · 04/04/2016 08:35

What biblical names like Matthew, Luke, John, Andrew, Simon, Mark

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 04/04/2016 08:51

Tobias/Toby
Alexander
James/Jamie

I like Kit (Christopher) and Louis from your list.

Kitty (katherine)
Marnie
Flora

And from your list I like Arabella and Polly.

Albert and Louisa from you list are my favourites.

Sophronia · 04/04/2016 09:20

Robert and Louisa.

LemonLuLu · 04/04/2016 09:33

Edward/Teddy
Louisa.
I really like Clara too

StitchesInTime · 04/04/2016 09:40

Harry's nice, but it does sound very Royal Family when combined with Charles (Charlie) and William.

I like Edward and Louisa best out of the other names.

Abecedario · 04/04/2016 09:53

Love your sons' names both lovely and classic.

Love Freddie - taught an amazing little boy with that name and also my dog's name so possibly biased. (Dog came already named, would def use it for a boy otherwise!).

I know of 4 Edwards nn Teddy under 5 so think it's very popular, but not necessarily a bad thing.

I like Christopher shortened to Kit too, but the Rooney connection would bother me!

Others for boys:
Joseph - joe, Joey
Henry (could use Harry as nn?)
Theodora - Theo
Arthur - Artie
Francis - Frank/Frankie

Like Arabella from your girls list best. (really love this name but couldn't use due to niece Isabella nickname Bella).

Or:
Helena - Nell/Nellie
Elinor/Eleanor - Nora
Olivia - Liv (know very popular but still think it's a beautiful name)
Francesca - Frankie or I know a 'Cesca' with the 'ch' sound
Genevieve - Vivi
Margaret/Marguerite - Maggie

Edward (Teddy) and Louisa Smile

CodyKing · 04/04/2016 11:04

As you have Charlie and William -

Maybe Charlotte or George??

Dc3name3 · 05/04/2016 08:23

Thanks everyone. Lots of food for thought! I don't have a problem with the Royal connection but didn't particularly choose them for that reason. Can't have George and definitely don't want Charles and Charlotte!

Edward or Harriet

lrb978 · 05/04/2016 10:32

For a boy, maybe Thomas, but for a girl I immediately thought Grace.

Theo could be male or female (Theodore/Theodora).

Off your list I would probably go for Edward and maybe Lucinda

Absolutelyfabulously · 08/04/2016 09:12

Lucinda or Frederick

StDogolphin · 08/04/2016 11:49

Laurence
Alex

Henrietta

Nataleejah · 10/04/2016 23:14
