We're expecting ds2 in the summer and we both love the name Aidan, our surname is Adams. Is this too much of a mouth full? Thanks in advance.

I quite like the sound of it, think they go well together

ftmsoon · 26/03/2016 07:05

It's not quite 'what were they thinking?!?!', but it is a bit of a mouthful. Are you having a middle name?

WhispersOfWickedness · 26/03/2016 07:11

Sounds fine to me. DD has an alliterative name (the first two letters of her names are the same) and no one bats an eyelid, it is fine as long as they don't also rhyme Smile

BikeRunSki · 26/03/2016 07:17

I think it's fine.

Triplecooked82 · 26/03/2016 07:18

Yes we will have a middle name, I'm just thinking day to day it won't be used. DH thinks it sounds fine, I'm the one with the reservations.

I think its fine its not like its Adam Adams but you could also try Caeden, Hayden or Jayden?

josie25 · 26/03/2016 07:58

I think it sounds great!
Go for it.

Ditsy4 · 26/03/2016 08:01

I think it is fine. I take register in school quite a lot. It works it isn't difficult to say. We also have quite a lot of alliterative names on the registers. It is easy for learning to write too. Congratulations.

MargotLovedTom · 26/03/2016 08:16

I'm not keen; I think it sounds a bit clunky.

mrsschu · 26/03/2016 09:40

Love the name Aidan and I think it sounds nice with your surname. I quite like alliterative names Smile.

LifeCrossRoad · 26/03/2016 09:41

It sounds good, better than suggestions if Hayden/Jayden

TeaBelle · 26/03/2016 09:41

I like it - the first sounds aren't the same which I think helps :)

Triplecooked82 · 28/03/2016 10:36

Thanks everyone, a more positive response than I thought I would get so definitely will consider it now. DH will be pleased.

I think it is fine but just suggesting Adrian as an alternative if you want to make it sound a bit more distinct.

titchy · 28/03/2016 13:06
