Help with baby boy name to go with Frederick

Hello
DS1 named after relatives so quite easy - plus we liked the old fashionedness of the name and that it was quite cool now plus can be shortened to other names.

Now having another boy. Using Jack as second name (another relative) but then out of relative names! Our surname begins with L.

I like slightly offbeat but not way out there names. DH prefers a little more classic.

Current shortlist:-
Albert
Arthur
Percy
Dylan
Marlon
Ferdinand
Wilbur
Franklin
Lionel
Montgomery
Amory

Any favs? Or other suggestions?

Thanks!!

How about Kurt - like in the Sound of Music. Frederick and Kurt.

My vote goes to Lionel or Percival (Percy).

How about Peregrine or Louis.

love albert (but i'm biased as that's on ourfave for DS2!)

We have an edward - or teddy - so they'll be edward/albert or teddy/bertie - not dissimilar to freddy/bertie

Daughterrr · 24/03/2016 22:56

My favourite is Dylan, but it doesn't 'go' with Frederick.

Albert is my 2nd favourite, and it goes really well with Frederick.

Albie/Bertie are nice NNs Smile

I'm sorry but the Harry Potter fan in me had to come on just to suggest George.
Feel free to ignore!

Albert, Arthur, Lionel and Montgomery "go" the best and are great names. Pls let us know what you decide!

SealSong · 30/03/2016 03:11

Gregory

mumwhoruns · 31/03/2016 10:33

Narrowed down to Percy, Gilbert, Monty and Albert.
Who'd have thought! I was struggling and now have to choose - will have to have another!!
Fav is still Albert. DH not keen on Gilbert or Monty though I love. Both like Percy still. Will let you know! But will probably go for Albert (Bertie/Albie)

These are the sorts of names I was forever suggesting to DH, you have good taste Grin In the end we settled on Ralph for our now 6 week old. I love Percy, but if I ever have a girl want to use Persephone so that ruled that one out!
