Our third - and last! - baby is due imminently, and we still haven't agreed on a name. We have two delightful DSs - Oscar and Leo - and are expecting our first DD. Last name is two syllables, beginning with P.

So far the names DH and I have agreed on are:
Beatrice
Eloise
Rosa

Combos with middle names might be:
Rosa Beatrice
Beatrice Eloise
Beatrice Rosa
Beatrice Lila
Eloise Beatrice

Names we love but can't use:
Vivienne
Madeleine
Delilah (adore this, but not brave enough!)

Would love thoughts on the above, or alternative suggestions!

Beatrice is a beautiful name.

DramaAlpaca · 22/03/2016 00:02

Eloise, while a beautiful name, might be just a bit too similar in sound to Leo.

I really like Rosa Beatrice, and also Beatrice Eloise.

I love Delilah - go on, I dare you! Grin

CakeRattleandRoll · 22/03/2016 00:10

I really like Rosa, but think Rosanna is even prettier.

Eloise will probably become another of the 100s of little Ellies there are around.

How about:

Miranda
Catherine
Francesca
Josephine
Genevieve
Lydia

candykane25 · 22/03/2016 00:19

Beatrice Rose is the nicest.
From your sins names I would have suggested Poppy but with a P surname would be too much.

My suggestions

Nancy
Lilah
Norah
Frankie

Paddletonio · 22/03/2016 00:20

They are all really nice. Sorry that's not too helpful but don't think you would go far wrong with any of them.

iyamehooru · 22/03/2016 00:50

I think rosa goes best with the boys names

Newlywed56 · 22/03/2016 01:05

Slightly different but Eloise rose is lovely

babymakesfive · 22/03/2016 02:05

Thanks for all the thoughts so far! Please keep them coming... one name I forgot to put on the list was Angelica (an outside choice as I don't love the nicknames, but it's still in contention!)

Angelica is lovely!

Failing that, Beatrice Rosa.

mathanxiety · 22/03/2016 03:37

I like Rosa Beatrice, though I like Rosalie and Rosina of all the 'Rose' names that are out there.
Maybe Rosina Beatrice?

I love Angelica Beatrice however.
Also Angelica Rosalie.

DonkeysDontRideBicycles · 22/03/2016 07:38

Am torn between Beatrice Rosa or Beatrice Lila.
I can't really improve on those but shall put forward Beatrice Camille.
If you go for Angelica otoh
Angelica Joy
Angelica Scarlett

MissRabbitHasTooManyJobs · 22/03/2016 07:41

You could be brave and use "Delilah " and shorten to "lilah" it's fab :)

Congratulations on your imminent arrival, I have a little girl 5 and she's a joy ( and a nightmare! ) after an 8 yr age gap with ds.

babymakesfive · 22/03/2016 19:50

I would love to use Delilah but there are too many religious zealots on both sides of the family, unfortunately!

DH has has now informed me that he has gone off the name 'Rosa' - which is very annoying as that was probably my top choice. Who knew that naming girls could be so hard?

Appreciate all the opinions so far. Please keep the thoughts coming : )

Not on your list, but what about Tabitha? I think it goes well with the boys names. Tabitha Beatrice.

LightTurquoise · 22/03/2016 20:23

Eloise Rosa or Rosa Eloise

LightTurquoise · 22/03/2016 20:24

Angelica is lovely, and I like the NN Angel, but hate Ang/Angie (sp?)

SophieofShepherdsBush · 22/03/2016 20:55

Ahem. I'm an Angelica. I have always loved my name. I was jelly, jelly baby, Nelly when I was little. Gel or nel now. It's s fab name!

Didactylos · 22/03/2016 20:58

is it terrible I really want to suggest 'Girly McGirlface'
in honour of this boat pollwww.nytimes.com/2016/03/22/world/europe/boaty-mcboatface-what-you-get-when-you-let-the-internet-decide.html?_r=0

but on a serious note, Rosa Eloise or Beatrice Eloise are lovely

Sallyhasleftthebuilding · 22/03/2016 21:19

My first had Angelica on the list - DH said no! Boo hop

babymakesfive · 23/03/2016 16:57

Thanks, all! How cool to have a real-life Angelica on the thread : ) I love Tabitha but DH says 'cat'. He isn't budging on Rosa, and he's now having second thoughts about Beatrice (one of his friends just announced that their DD, born last week, will be Beatrice Grace!)

I am very fond of Eloise but I'm not sure if, as a PP mentioned, it doesn't 'go' with Leo. Elodie is out as we live overseas and nobody here has ever heard of the name (and they butcher the pronunciation when they try). Really stuck now!!
