Hi All
I'm booked for a c section on Friday due to baby being breech/transverse (unstable lie). I have one little boy already called Toby Alexander and just wondered what you thought of the name Samuel for DS2 (I'll shorten to Sam for the most part)
Husband and I were thinking either
Samuel Harry
Or
Samuel William
It's coincidence they are Royal second names we were keen on
Samuel Oliver or Samuel Thomas but our surname begins with D so the initials would have been very unfortunate😱

Samuel William

I agree with pp that Harry is nicknamey.

Thanks Sgoinneal and RockUnit. I'm not stuck on William or Harry so if you have any other ideas opinions would be gratefully received

Samuel Henry?

I'd go with William otherwise. Sam/Samuel is lovely.

Don't go with Oliver as a MN then. Grin
Samuel Henry flows better than Samuel William. Other suggestions.
Samuel David
Samuel James
Samuel Thomas
Samuel Ray
Samuel Kevin
Samuel Patrick
Samuel George

Samuel is lovely Smile I agree, Samuel William!

However, other suggestions:

  • Samuel Noah
  • Samuel Elliot(t)
  • Samuel James
  • Samuel George

Congrats!

Toby and Samuel = lovely together. I prefer Samuel William over Samuel Harry but Samuel William feels like it has a few too many 'L's maybe?!

You could maybe go a little less traditional with the mn?

Samuel Jude
Samuel Dale
Samuel Rowan
Samuel Vincent
Samuel Westley (if you happen to be a Princess Bride fan!)

I don't think the initials matter much unless you will know him as Samuel-(fill in name of choice).

Out of your choices I'd go with Samuel William.

Sophronia · 22/03/2016 13:04

Samuel William

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 22/03/2016 13:17

Samuel William

Or

Samuel James
