What do you think? I think I love it...

It's the beautiful name of someone very dear to me, who was born in France in 1942. So not totally 90s. Wink

My classes at school were rammed with Nicoles, and I'm 42!

I think it sounds quite hard and not pretty. Sorry.

With a London accent it would end up as "Neecoh" which is why I wouldn't choose it. Theoretically it's nice.

I think there are French-sounding names (which is how I think of it) that are nicer:

Claudine
Elodie
Delphine
Solange
Gisele
Gabrielle
Odette
Noelle
Genevieve

I could go on but I won't because they might not be the sort you are looking for

I know a teenage Nicole. I always do the 'Nicole papa' thing in my head.
A very pretty name Smile

I really, really like it and it does sound strong and elegant now. I love Jasmine too and that was another 90s name where I live.

As a variation: Nicola

I'm one. Grew up in the 80's.

Onl ever met one other, at school. Large comprehensive in Surrey. Was given the name because Nicola was too common. I agree its doesn't sound nice in some accents though.

Never had any negative recation to it. I have a 17 month old dd and she has a name of the same genre. I prefer the names that were used more when I was at school than the ones in the current top 100.
