The full list of babies' names for 2015 for Scotland were published today www.nrscotland.gov.uk/statistics-and-data/statistics/statistics-by-theme/vital-events/names/babies-first-names#full-lists makes interesting reading if you love lists of names, like me.

Oooh, thanks for the link. I love how the Scottish list has every name, unlike the England/Wales list that don't list names that were only used once of twice. Off to have a proper look!

None of Ds2 this year.

Thank you!

Very interesting reading.

I've just discovered the full list from 1974 to 2015. There have only been 21 of DS2s name in total, but none before 1987 and none after 2012 and there are also some gaps in between.

We purposely gave DS1 a Scottish sounding name as Scotland was somewhere me and DH loved.

That was 14 years ago and his first and second name are still in the top 10 in Scotland.

Love these lists!

It is interesting the differences on the list between Scottish and English perceptions. For instance, the recent Elliot/Rowan thread, loads of people were saying Rowan is an boys name, and I always think of it as female, which must be a scottish thing as there are twice as many girl Rowans as boy Rowans last year. I love these lists.

Fascinating. DS was one of 60 of his name born in 2004.
