18 weeks pregnant. Already have DD Evelyn.

What do you think of

Darcy Rose
Verity Jane

I love the name Elouise but won't be using it as a first name. Would it work as a middle name? Or too much?

I really really don't like the name Darcy for some reason. Verity Rose would be my choice.

Afreshstartplease · 03/03/2016 20:19

I prefer Darcy to verity

Why wouldn't you use Elouise ?

SilverHoney · 03/03/2016 20:26

So many nieces / friends babies have vowel names. Think Evelyn, India, Emma, Annabell... I know they're not exactly similar sounding but when they're together it's enough! So I'd rather a non-vowel name.

DH dislikes ALL flower names, but I think Rose as a middle name is just lovely Smile

Never seen Elouise, looks like a spelling mistake to me, sorry! Eloise or Louise.

I prefer Verity Jane (or even Verity Rose) but I like virtue names.

Quercus3 · 03/03/2016 20:57

Verity Jane is lovely and goes nicely with Evelyn

IslaSinga · 03/03/2016 21:04

I agree it should be Eloise.

SilverHoney · 03/03/2016 21:07

It can be spelt both ways. I'd choose Elouise.

What would you shorten Verity to?

OP posts:
marjolaine · 03/03/2016 22:10

Vee maybe? Verity doesn't really lend itself to many nicknames...

Sophronia · 03/03/2016 22:52

Verity Jane! Could be shortened to Veri, Vera or Rita

Paddletonio · 07/03/2016 21:32

Elouise with a U in it is utterly dreadful. The name is Eloise.

OvariesBeforeBrovaries · 07/03/2016 21:34

Love Darcy

joyfulworld · 08/03/2016 09:22

I like Verity Jane. Lovely for me. Smile

MadameDePompom · 08/03/2016 10:52

Verity is a bit prim but I much prefer it to Darcy.

Eloise is gorgeous. Definitely spelt like that though, none of this Elouise nonsense.
