Seraphine? Matilda? Aria? Leni?

Help!
My DD is Lotte (hubby is German, but we pronounce it Lottie -and we struggled over her name, almost Matilda) and I'm looking for her sisters' name. This baby feels quite gentle, hence the 'gentler' names (Grace gorgeous but too popular).

Hubby likes Leni - but Leni and Lotte too alike? (and we're getting pretty German here) Aria, Evie and Matilda too common? Wouldn't mind a nice nn.

Weigh in here ladies! Open to suggestions!!

I really like Seraphine but prefer Seraphina.

I like Leni too but the German pronunciation would be Leh-nie whereas the English might say Lenny, which is less nice imo.

Matilda is very popular.

I absolutely love Aria. Almost went with it for DD3. Love Matilda too.

Leni and Evie are fine but so much prefer the other two.

Not convinced by Seraphine. Very fancy.

Matilda is really popular - I know four. I like Seraphine.

Oh wow, thank you ladies! manicinsominiac, there are some great names in there! I have Emmeline (the bub was "made " in France, Lotte was conceived in Germany!), Tabitha (everyone says cat but I like it), Jemima, Paris, Ottilie (too much like Lotte). Felicity is me! Love the suggestions, thank you...

I think Leni is too much like Lotte, and that Lotte and Leni together sound too much like you named them after Lotte Lenya.

Also, Leni reminds me of Leni Riefenstahl, who made Nazi propaganda films so you may want to avoid that (although her name was really Helene, which I prefer).

Redroses11 · 24/02/2016 13:17

Seraphine sounds like an anti-depressant to me! Leni is a male name in my opinion. I really like the other two.

Hennifer · 24/02/2016 13:21

My friend in Germany has a Marlies. I think that's beautiful.

Hennifer · 24/02/2016 13:21

Would your DH like Liesl for short? Liesl or Liese and Lotte go well I think

ladybug7 · 09/03/2016 21:21

I love the name Leni - I chose it for my daughter.

MitzyLeFrouf · 13/03/2016 02:40

Leni is gorgeous.

Completely different to Lotte.

Ceeceecee · 13/03/2016 07:24

Aria is lovely

almmummy · 16/03/2016 11:21

I love Aria but annoyed it is very similar to that character in Game of Thrones, it could get very popular

MamaMotherMummy · 24/03/2016 17:12

I know the fairytale is a bit gruesome but I love the name Marlinchen (mar-LEEN-shen) and I know it originally comes from Germany.

MamaLazarou · 25/03/2016 18:41

Oh, please choose Leni! It's such a sweet name.

BellaBellaBelle · 25/03/2016 21:12

Love Leni! Beautiful name.
