Last name is Hughes! I've always loved the name Heath but I'm worried it might not work with our last name! Thanks for your opinions Smile

It's not perfect but it's ok! Heath is a lovely name btw

GabiSolis · 22/02/2016 19:15

I'm not mad keen on it, sorry. Sounds like it should be a double barrelled surname tbh.

WutheringFrights · 22/02/2016 19:16

You could always call him Heathcliff. Heathcliff Hughes works Grin with Heath as a shortened version.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 22/02/2016 19:17

I think it's ok. Not perfect, but if you love it I'd use it.

Sophronia · 22/02/2016 19:18

I think it's ok

Thanks for the responses! It really is the only boys name that DP and I love. There are others that we like but we keep coming back to Heath!

Sorry but I don't think it really works with your surname TBH.

cosytoaster · 22/02/2016 21:03

I think it's fine and you're overthinking it.

EnriqueTheRingBearingLizard · 22/02/2016 21:23

Heathcliffe does work better IMO, shortened in everyday life.

TillyTolly · 22/02/2016 21:27

Agree that Heathcliff works better, albeit shortened to Heath for day to day usage. 'Heath Hughes' sounds like a description of a section of paint colour chart in an interiors feature. Now, that's not necessarily a bad thing but it would irk me if I was using it on a regular basis Grin

everdene · 22/02/2016 21:36

I think people would call him Keith (sadly!) and Keith Hughes is not as glam!

SavoyCabbage · 22/02/2016 21:59

I met a mother of a Heath and she said she wished she hadn't chosen it as it didn't sound like a name when she yelled it across a park.
