I'm not a fan. It's been v popular in where I live for a good 20+ years though

boygirl For some reason -despite loving Georgia - I'm not a big fan of George.

Good thing really - he was born just before Prince George and I've have spent the rest of his life explaining that no - we didn't copy - honest!

I have a Georgia Lily . She gets called Georg or Georgie. It suits her now and she's quite a girlie girl . I always feel isn't very girlie until someone else says it then I love it . I much prefer it to Georgina and I find its a name that suits from a female no matter her age !

I do like it yes, it has a good sound to it and it's a plus that it's not really a top ten name at the moment (I think). I think I do just slightly prefer Georgina though, but Georgiana is a bit OTT as PPs said.

I've always loved this name.

Wishfulmakeupping · 21/02/2016 08:25

I adore it classic and beautiful as someone said up thread and was a favourite early on when we were expecting.
I like Georgiana but my oh discounted as it 'sounded like a Disney princess' (?!) , I like Georgina but I know a couple that are shortened to Gina and I don't like that at all.
'Georgia' was the obvious choice for us- Georgia Elizabeth :) or Georgie as she's also known

Love it. Much prefer to Georgina which imo sounds prissy.

Mclaren37 · 22/02/2016 04:58

Love it. Agree with SanityClause, Georgia was my fav name all the way through my 20's and now it seems a bit less unusual. But still a gorgeous name, much prefer it to Georgina.
