Hi there, I'm on my mums account!! Must get my own my unfortunately wouldn't use it much I don't think Sad

But for the life of me have no idea what name suits my little one. My husband likes the name Gretchen, opinions? I think it sounds a little troll-y??? As in the creature! Grin it's growing on me though, but does it suit her?

We need names asap ThanksThanksThanks

What a beauty! Personally I think the name Gretchen is gorgeous (and that your husnand's right, it DOES suit her) but failing that I think she could be a:

Penelope (nickname Penny/Nell)
Philippa (nickname Pippa)
Georgina / Georgiana

I'm clearly feeling 'G' or 'P' for this little one! :-)

Augustwedding · 17/02/2016 21:07

Hannah
Molly
Jessica or
Grace

Congratulations she is gorgeous!

I think she is a Grace too.

So lovely to have a little one.

Allalonenow · 17/02/2016 21:21

Gretchen sounds very grumpy to me, she's not a Gretchen.

Heidi is fab, and has the Germanic background, but so much prettier than Gretchen.

Or what about Leonie or Saskia?

Ringadingdingdong22 · 17/02/2016 21:23

I think Grace would be a good alternative to Gretchen, which I'm not keen on.

LookingForANameForMyDD · 17/02/2016 21:27

It doesn't need to be German, just found something unusual! Smile

Grace is nice, I normally hear it in the middle! I am really liking it

I have been quite taken with 'Gretal' recently, but might be a bit too fairytailish!

What about Eliza? That's my current favourite for girls.

LookingForANameForMyDD · 17/02/2016 21:59

Awh, Gretal is sweet! I like it!

I really don't like Gretchen but Grace is lovely.

I think she looks like a baby, sorry - I have no idea how people can look at a baby (or anybody of any age really) and think they look like a particular name.

How about Giselle, Genevieve or Giovanna - more European G names but softer.

Out2pasture · 18/02/2016 00:40

a recent fave name is Paisley :)

Augustwedding · 18/02/2016 08:48
