Emilia Ivy or Emilia Violet?

I have a 2 syllable surname. I don't know what I'm having yet but struggling with girls names!
Also considered: Amelie, Amelia, Mia
So that's my sort of taste
Any other suggestions also welcome!

She will be forever correcting the spelling of her name if you call her Emilia - not Amelia (which I like more incidentally, should you care at all about my opinion lol). Amelia Violet is lovely.

But with the veto that DD is Emilia and has to stress the "E" and spelling it and our surname all the time is annoying and she is only 4!

But a friend with an Amelia has the same problem

Violet sounds better with Emilia than Ivy IMO. Although actually I prefer Violet to Emilia.
How about Emmeline Violet?

My name is Amelia and I've spent the last few years correcting the spelling from Emilia which people tend to default to now. Didn't happen when I was a kid (I'm 33).

Amelia is the Victorian spelling (though originally German depending on who you ask), Emilia being French/Spanish.

I don't like two vowels running into each other, so Violet. But Amelia, unless you want your daughter to spend her life saying her name is Emelia-beginning-with-an-E.

Middle name needs to start with a consonant IMO so Emilia Violet

I've nothing to say about the first names but I have to say the middle names are perfectGrin. (Maybe cos they're my girlies middle names)
