Help baby girl 6 days old no name

Hi

Need some opinions on girls names. DD2 is 6 days old and can't decide between Olivia or AVa. Dd1 is called Chloe. I also liked jade but hubby said cldnt have that due to us using it as Chloes middle name.

My only concern with Olivia (as do think it is a pretty name and already told a few people that's what her name is) is when I'm calling her all the time it's longer syllables then I'm used to (as All of us only have 2 in our names). I no it can be shortened but confused as if I want it shortened all the time.

Thanks for your input.

Elora. It has the same vibe but is a whole syllable shorter. Grin you also wouldn't get that icky Chloe/ Livvie rhyming cutesy thing going on. Unless you actually like that and then just call her Livvie.

madwomanbackintheattic · 06/02/2016 02:51

Actually, lol, I'm only saying that because the all of the Olivia's I know are called Livvie, and the only Elora is always Elora. I suppose there is the outside chance that some numb nuts would shorten it to Ellie... but not round here...

Olive?

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 06/02/2016 04:37

Both lovely but I'd say. Olivia goes best with Chloe

iscreamicecream · 06/02/2016 07:52

Both gorgeous and go well with Chloe but Ava just inches ahead for me X

wigglesrock · 06/02/2016 07:56

I have an Olivia, she gets Liv occasionally. She doesn't like Livvy and she's good at telling people (she's 8). Both are lovely names I'm not much help Grin
Congratulations on your lovely baby!

timelytess · 06/02/2016 07:59

Olivia.

Kell2408 · 06/02/2016 09:55

Thanks all for your input. Definitely not keen on olive (no offence intended).

Olivia

amysmummy12345 · 06/02/2016 14:55

I like Ava, my DD had no name for five days, she ended up Amy 😊

marmaladegranny · 06/02/2016 15:02

Take your time - DD2 was nameless up until the last possible moment before registration because DH vetoed everything that I suggested and failed to come up with ideas! Baby 'Granny' quite suited her…
Btw my vote is for Olivia - its a beautiful name and goes well with Chloe.

Rosaaa · 06/02/2016 15:52

Both are lovely. Congrats!

BettyBi0 · 06/02/2016 17:25

Take your time. There is no harm calling her one name this week and another next week within your family to see which feels right. Don't be rushed into making an announcement right away. We left it right until the deadline hahaha but thank god or she would have been called goodness knows what.

I think Ava goes best with Chloe. Only go with Olivia if you are comfy with people shortening it to Livvy all the time

CormoranStrike · 06/02/2016 19:59

I think Emily is the nicest name with Chloe

Titsalinabumsquash · 06/02/2016 20:01

Olivia Smile

tinofbiscuits · 06/02/2016 20:01

I like both but think Ava goes better with Chloe (too many Ls with Olivia and Chloe).

Spillette · 06/02/2016 20:20

Another vote for Ava, I'd get tangled in all the Ls too. Plus it just sounds gorgeous. Chloe and Ava... Chloe and Ava...

redmini4 · 06/02/2016 23:53

Both are gorgeous names but Ava isn't quite as popular as Olivia. If that is an issue although that depends where you live. Not much help but choose what is your first choice

DramaAlpaca · 06/02/2016 23:58

I vote for Ava.

Kell2408 · 07/02/2016 08:47

Thanks everyone. Still so confused there seems to be split decisions. I just don't have a strong enough feeling. Not like when I chose Dd1s name

Freya is a very nice name.

moreshitandnofuckingredemption · 07/02/2016 08:58

Emma?

Kell2408 · 07/02/2016 09:42

Definitely sticking to one of the 3 names I mentioned. Hubby has taken 9 months to get this far as his so fussy.

Olivia and Chloe sounds just right.
