Please can you rate my girls names and also add any suggestions of your own? We already have a Francesca and an Oscar, so are looking for a name for our second daughter that will fit nicely with these two.
So far we have...
Orla
Charlotte (Lottie)
Sylvia
Edie
Elizabeth
Agnes
Penelope
Audrey
Flora
Pippa
Vivienne

Any input greatly appreciated. TIA x

Not Orla or Flora, they sound too similar

I think out of your list I like Pippa best.

Congratulations on your impending arrival.

crapfatbanana · 05/02/2016 23:39

Agnes and Elizabeth from your list.

Abigail, Imelda, Maren, Lois, Juliet, Josephine

EnriqueTheRingBearingLizard · 05/02/2016 23:39

I'd choose Vivienne. It's a lovely name and fits well with the other two.
My only other suggestion would be Genevieve.

Good luck with her birth Flowers

stillsingingintherain · 05/02/2016 23:43

My fave by a mile is Orla.

Charlotte, Edie are the other ones I like.

Not massively keen on the others especially Sylvia, Vivienne, Audrey & Agnes

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 05/02/2016 23:53

Elizabeth or Vivienne. Sylvia's okay but Sylvie is nicer.
Not keen on your other names

LadyWithLapdog · 06/02/2016 00:07

Sylvia would go nicely with the others.

Sophronia · 06/02/2016 00:25

Charlotte nn Lottie is lovely

Sophronia · 06/02/2016 00:25

Agnes and Sylvia are great too

NoncommittalToSparkleMotion · 06/02/2016 00:36

Agnes, Audrey and Edie are my favourites. I like Orla and Flora but don't sound quite right with Francesca and Oscar.

MadameDePompom · 06/02/2016 00:38

Sylvia, Vivenne, and Edie are my favourites. All really lovely.

I like the nicknames for Elizabeth but am not a fan of the name itself.

Not crazy about any of the others especially Pippa as I read (on MN I think) that it's a pretty unsavoury slang word in Greek. I could never give my child a name that meant something obscene somewhere, even if there was little to no chance they'd ever go there! Grin

pilates · 06/02/2016 09:04

Orla out of your list.

Eliza or Louisa?

GoldPlatedBacon · 06/02/2016 09:30

Pippa is my favourite but I'd register as Philippa.

Other suggestions

Angelica
Beatrice
Lydia

MadameDePomPom: did you know Chloe means sanitary towel in Greek? Hard to avoid these pitfalls as names websites don't tell the whole truth!

mumnosbest · 06/02/2016 11:04

Sylvia, Agnes (Aggie) and Edie. Also Olive is lovely.
Good luck x

EnriqueTheRingBearingLizard · 06/02/2016 11:23

Chloe doesn't mean sanitary towel in Greek. There was a brand of sanitary towel called Cloe but I'm not sure if they still make them, the company now has a brand called Clea. I guess with names used as brand names, or colloquialisms you just have to be in the know. The one that always makes me laugh is the pizza chain Zizzi and the French 'zizi' Grin

PooDogMillionaire · 06/02/2016 12:01

Orla, Elizabeth (Liz, Lizzy, Beth, Betty, Liza, Ellie, etc) and Vivienne are beautiful.

Matilda2013 · 06/02/2016 13:33

How about Evelyn ? Evie shortened?

CormoranStrike · 06/02/2016 20:00

Penelope or Vivienne

Spillette · 06/02/2016 20:11

We've got a Francesca, and my top names to go with it in future are Elizabeth, Sylvia, and Margaret (Maggie). Congratulations and good luck! Xx

Froggy34 · 06/02/2016 22:53

Be interested in what you have decided?Smile

cupcake30 · 07/02/2016 00:09

Still undecided! I think I've narrowed it down to orla, Sylvia, lottie, Elizabeth and Pippa. Husband seems happy to go along with my decision, seeing as he named our other children.
I'm not sure if lottie or pippa can be stand alone names though? And if not, what can they be shortened versions of, apart from the obvious Charlotte and Phillipa.

I just wondered because I have an Oscar,Leon and an Orla!!!we think the names go really well together,go for Orla Smile

Narp · 07/02/2016 19:22

Love Sylvia

Also like Vivienne

and

Elizabeth

Lottie could be short for Ottillie (which I don't really like but you might)

Don't want to confuse, but what about

Julia
Marianne

RozTheSchnoz · 07/02/2016 19:24

I like Orla, Charlotte and Elizabeth :)

SevenOhTwo · 07/02/2016 22:31

I like Elizabeth and Orla best from your list.

The only Francesca I knew had sisters Olivia and Gabriella.
